100 Days TB Elimination Campaign – Awareness Program

Location: Mandal Parishad Upper Primary School, Kothwalguda
Today, JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Department of Community Medicine, and NSS unit hosted a TB Awareness Program at Mandal Parishad Upper Primary School, Kothwalguda. The session reached 72 students and 5 staff members, aiming to educate them about Tuberculosis, its risk factors, signs and symptoms, and the DOTS regimen.
The participants were also introduced to preventive measures including the importance of:
Wearing masks
Practicing hand hygiene
Maintaining a balanced diet
Social distancing
Avoiding smoking
BCG vaccination
A practical demonstration of hand hygiene steps was conducted, ensuring that all participants are equipped with the knowledge to safeguard themselves.
The event was graced by the Head Mistress Smt. Swaroopa Rani, along with school teachers and students. It was a great success in spreading vital information about TB prevention and awareness.
