The JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine and NSS Unit, successfully organized a TB Awareness Programme as part of the 100 Days TB Elimination Campaign. The event sought to educate students about tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control, emphasizing the adoption of healthy habits.
Key Highlights
Health Education: Students were educated on essential practices like proper hand hygiene and cough etiquette to reduce TB transmission.
Community Engagement: The programme involved 100 participants, including students, teachers, and the Head Master, Mr. Devendra Rao.
Youth Empowerment: Students were encouraged to act as ambassadors for TB prevention, spreading awareness within their communities.
The event was graced by Dr. Poonam Sutar, Dr. Surekha, and Dr. Divya from the Department of Community Medicine, who shared valuable insights and guidance.
