Hyderabad: A research project to compare health status of children treated with homeopathy and those treated with allopathy medicine was launched at JIMS Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Shamshabad.
The research project titled ‘A Comparison of Conventional and Homeopathic Paradigms in Treating Children aged 0 to 18 Months: A Pragmatic, Randomized Clinical Trial’ is being taken up in collaboration with Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of AYUSH.
The research will involve assessment of a host of parameters including overall growth and development, number and duration of diarrheal episodes, occurrence of respiratory infections, management of other acute diseases and mortality rate during the first 18 months of life.
The research study will also serve as a measure to compare the economic implications of both the treatment modalities, the research project lead Medical Superintendent, JIMS Hospital, Dr. Reetha Krishnan said.
The project was launched by Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, Chairman-Governing Council, Dr. J. Rameshwar Rao, Chairman of Academic Council, Dr. Paavuluri Krishna Chaudhary of JIMS Homeopathic Medical College and other top officials from AYUSH were present.
