Pre-requisites : Students are instructed to go through chapter of identification of plants and are advised to carry note book, pen, pencil, identity card and apron.
Conveyance : 3 buses were arranged by the Institution
Over View : The arrangements were made in consultation with Mr Balaiah, Forest Range Officer (FRO), Anantagiri, Vikarabad through the communication from Principal of JIMS HMC&H about 15 days in advance. The Section Officer, Mrs Aruna received and greeted us with warm welcome. She gave us overview about the medicinal plants in the forest eco-system and later led the whole team from JIMS into the forest.
Students visited Anantagiri Hills Forest eco-system and were explained about the significance of Natural habitat compared with the cultivated medicinal plants. They have collected few medicinal plants from the Forest.
Assignment – Students have been instructed to write a report in their Practical Record Books about the details of the visit and to affix the collected material to prepare Herbarium with details of the respective medicinal plants.
